A shared dream

Meet the hosts at Storestølen

Storestølen Fjellhotell was built in 1956 by Gudrun Mørk. Until the beginning of the 1990’s, Storestølen was a café with a few bedrooms available for guests looking to spend the night. During this period, the lodge was extended several times.

In 2016, Tore and Anne became the new owners of Storestølen hotel. Their ambition was to create a retreat hotel focusing on holistic health and excellent food experiences. The entire complex is refurbished with the aid of Nicole Schalin, an interior architect focusing on Feng Shui and natural materials. Anne has a marketing and economics degree, but made a career change 20 years ago into the field of medicine and Naturopathy, with focus on food as medicine. She has been working with a treatment program for children with learning and behavior disabilities, where nutrition and energy medicine are a big part of the treatment. Tore is a certified carpenter and has been working as a manager and project manager towards the B2B market. Tore is also a certified coach, and has worked as a spinning instructor at the local gym. Tore loves bringing guests on biking and hiking tours in the local area, while Anne creates well-balanced and allergy-friendly meals for their guests. They also offer food courses for guests returning to learn more about how the food is prepared and what makes it taste so good!
