Since the 1990's

Forest cabins and apartments

The Geilolia companies have run tourism and development of property and activity offerings at Geilo since the 1980’s. Geilolias owners, the Lorentzen family, were owners of the Vestlia Ski Center when the development of a modern ski resort at Geilo started. Vestlia was the first location in Norway to produce snow to supplement natural snow, and it has since been a continuous development. In the mid-1990s, the construction of Geilolia Hyttetun started, which is one of Geilo’s attractive accommodation options.
